Quinn couldn’t take much more of the grading. Having to finish her stack before the end of the week and make sure that midterm grades were calculated by then was more stressful than she imagined. The summer term was definitely more rushed and just a bit more intensive to make sure students passed.
She closed up her grade book and straightened out the desk before she headed out of the room, light shut off when she left. It took her a while to find the studio, what with a quick pit stop in the kitchen for a glass of water. She knocked outside the door before she entered, surprised at the sight inside.
“So this is where you’ve been hiding out all this time?” she asked with a small smile, shutting the door behind her. She walked over to the back of his chair and leaned over it, dropping a light kiss to his lips. “Hi there.”
Puck had been giving Beth her space still. He didn’t want to force her to be okay with what he did. They really only talked today over breakfast and when she asked him if she could go sleep over her friend’s house again. He didn’t think it was the best idea, since she still had a bit of a problem being away from home, but he couldn’t really say no. She deserved to go have fun with her friends, plus she’d probably talk to them more than she talked to himself and Quinn.
After he dropped her off, Puck came back home and went straight to the studio. Quinn had been in the office pretty much the whole night, so he figured he might as well be productive and work on some new stuff to try to present to some new potential agents. As much as he was sick of this scene, he still needed to make a living.
Upon hearing the door to the padded studio open, he turned his head and smiled at his…girlfriend? Were they even at that point yet? Or were they past that point? Didn’t matter. His thoughts flew out of his his head the moment she kissed him. “Hey. Missed you today, babe,” he mumbled, putting his guitar down on the floor and swivveling around in the chair to pull her into his lap.
